Software and Drivers

Software for the Micro Analog 2 USB Data Acquisition system is free and can be downloaded from this web site. Note that earlier hardware uses the Cypress device drivers and our latest hardware uses the FTDI device drivers. If you are unsure, unplug your USB module and inspect it. It will have a chip marked with either FTDI or Cypress. Individual components of the software with the dates of their last change are as follows:

Cypress based systems systems can be used with both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of windows, but require “driver signing” to be disabled for 64 bit windows. FTDI based systems have a “signed” driver and can be used without this restriction.
