Frequency to Voltage
FE-078-FV Frequency to Voltage Converter
This instantaneous F-V converter accepts frequency inputs from electromagnetic or light activated sources, or from a low impedance output of other signal conditioning systems for virtually all pulse or frequency waveforms from 10mV to 30V RMS. The frequency of the incoming signal is converted to an output voltage in the range 0-10V, requiring just one pulse of the new frequency to update the output voltage. The full-scale frequency is set using two front panel decimal rotary switches, and an on-board jumper selects the output span so that 0.0 V can represent 0 Hz or 90% of the full-scale frequency. The full-scale frequency can be set between 10 Hz and 30 kHz. The lowest frequency which can be converted is 0.25 Hz. A low noise output combined with linearity and accuracy exceeding 0.1% provides excellent analogue performance, and selecting the on board 3 pole filter provides a frequency averaging function when required. Front panel indicators show “signal present” and “status”. A front panel control can be used to adjust signal sensitivity. 12V DC transducer power and 3.3V TTL buffered frequency outputs are available at the module output connector. Power requirement is 10-36V DC. The module is mechanically and electrically compatible standard DIN Rail specifications.
Isolation
FE-083-ISO Isolation Amplifier
The FE-083-ISO is a single-channel, DC-coupled, precision galvanically isolated amplifier housed in a DIN rail enclosure. It is available in two versions: The standard FE-083-ISO with input ranges of 1kV, 100V, 10V, and 1V full-scale, and the hardware-upgradable FE-(H)083-ISO, which supports higher working voltages with input ranges of 3kV, 2kV, and 1kV full-scale. Both versions offer a bandwidth exceeding 50kHz and provide simultaneous ±10V and 4–20mA outputs. Input range selection is performed via screw-terminal links for straightforward configuration. The FE-083-ISO is ideal for monitoring of vehicle battery stacks where its high voltage input is able to measure the total stack voltage, a single cell voltage or a current shunt voltagein high side or low side applications with complete safety. Bandwidth of >50kHz. Power requirement is 9-36VDC. Amplifier is fully protected against overload or incorrect range selection.
Protected IEPE Amplifier
FE-085-IE Protected IEPE Amplifier
A single channel IEPE amplifier in a DIN rail enclosure with an input common mode operating capability of ±250V (protected at up to ±500V). The FE-085-IE has gains of x1 or x10 selected by external jumper link, a built-in 4mA constant current with 24V compliance voltage, and a standard 3 pole low pass filter. The amplifier is safe to operate with up to 250V pk or DC common mode voltage at the input, and with a CMR of at least 100dB will still function perfectly. Additionally, the input is protected at up to 500V pk or DC, giving many of the attributes of an isolation amplifier, but without the high cost or high noise which isolation techniques can sometimes entail. Power Supply is 12-36V DC at 2W.

A single channel AC coupled amplifier having internal 8 bit DIL switch to set gains situated directly below the removable front panel. Presented in a DIN rail enclosure. The amplifier includes resistor network programmable LP and HP filters. Input Configuration Balanced differential. Protection ±50V DC or 30V RMS continuous. Coupling 1μF and 470kΩ (0.3Hz -3dB, 1Hz -0.5dB). Noise 15nV√ Hz @ 1-10 kHz. Common Mode Rejection > 70dB (x10 up) 50 – 500Hz. Gain DIL sw for Preamplifier x1, x10, x100 Gain Output Stage x1, x2, x5, x10, x20. Gain Accuracy ±0.2%. Frequency Range Wideband <1Hz - 25kHz -3dB. Output Voltage Capability ±10V into 2kΩ, 5000pF max. Offset <±25 mV. LP Filter Type Butterworth 8 pole, preset by plug-in resistor network. (50Hz to 20kHz). Bypass Filter may be bypassed by jumper link.
