Ultra-modern styling and benchmark performance standards characterise this range of easy-to-use, rugged and versatile analogue instrumentation.

40 Channels

Micro Analog 2 – FE-MM40

The FE-MM40 is a DC powered 40 channel combined signal conditioning and data acquisition system. Like all chassis styles in the Micro Analog 2 range, it accepts a range of dual channel signal conditioning modules which together cover almost every transducer type.

There are slots for up to 20 dual channel modules. An additional slot is reserved for the optional FE-366-AZ auto zero module which controls the automatic offset removal for FE-366-TA bridge transducer amplifiers.

Inputs are via the 7 pin rear panel connectors which can accept a variety of connector adaptors. A 50 way connector allows a 40 way BNC adaptor to be connected (FE-MAC-40C). This allows single ended ±10V signals to be input without using signal conditioning, or allows the output of the signal conditioning modules to be routed to other measuring equipment.

This system is used with the USB interface by inserting the FE-3540-USB interface module.

The front panel drops down to allow any of the Micro Analog 2 modules to be inserted into any position. Configuration and operation is simple, and the rear panel connector may be connected to a 40 way BNC adaptor or connected using an adaptor to any data acquisition system.

Applications

Load Cells, Pressure Transducers, Strain Gauges, DCLVDTs, Potentiometers, all forms of bridge type transducers and DC voltage signals, Accelerometers, Hydrophones, ICP® transducers and AC voltage signals, Thermocouples, Frequency Pickups. Mix and Match cards as required.

System Specification

Maximum 40 channel analogue instrumentation system in 2U enclosure. System can be supplied with rack mounting ears or front panel handles.

Up to 20 dual channel cards in any combination plus optional Auto-Zero card.

10 to 36 V DC supply (Max current 2 A).

Inputs 20 x 7 pin Tuchel. Output 50 way SCSI1 syle connector. Adaptors available for both input and output connectors.

Dimensions 100(H) x 440(W) x 375(D)

Environment 0°C to 40°C, 0 to 80 % R.H. non condensing.

20 input connectors (one for each pair of channels) are shown in the rear panel illustration.

The front panel drops down to reveal the signal conditioning modules.

16 Channels

Micro Analog 2 – FE-MM16

The FE-MM16 is a DC powered 16 channel version of its larger brother the FE-MA32/40. Like all chassis styles in the Micro Analog 2 range, it accepts a range of dual channel signal conditioning modules which together cover almost every transducer type. There are slots for up to 8 dual channel modules. An additional slot is reserved for the optional FE-366-AZ auto zero module which controls the automatic offset removal for FE-366-TA bridge transducer amplifiers. Inputs are via the 7 pin rear panel connectors which can accept a variety of connector adaptors and outputs are via 15 way D connectors which accept the FE-MAC8C BNC adpator.

This system may also be used with the USB interface by inserting the FE-357-USB interface module.

The front panel drops down to allow any of the Micro Analog 2 modules to be inserted into any position. Configuration and operation is simple, and the rear panel connector may be connected to one or two 8 way BNC adaptors or connected using an adaptor to any data acquisition system.

Applications

Load Cells, Pressure Transducers, Strain Gauges, DCLVDTs, Potentiometers, all forms of bridge type transducers and DC voltage signals, Accelerometers, Hydrophones, ICP® transducers and AC voltage signals, Thermocouples, Frequency Pickups. Mix and Match cards as required.

System Specification

Maximum 16 channel analogue instrumentation system in 2U enclosure. System can be supplied with rack mounting ears or front panel handles.

Up to 8 dual channel cards in any combination plus optional Auto-Zero card.

10 to 36 V DC supply (Max current 1 A).

Inputs 8 x 7 pin Tuchel. Output 2 x 15 way D sockets.

Adaptors available for both input and output connectors.

Dimensions 100(H) x 225(W) x 375(D).

Environment 0°C to 40°C, 0 to 80 % R.H. non condensing.

8 input connectors (one for each pair of channels) are shown in the rear panel illustration.

The front panel drops down to reveal the signal conditioning modules.

8 Channels

Mobile Micro Analog 2 FE-MM8

Vehicle and other mobile applications often demand that the instrumentation be able to be powered by the vehicle’s electrical system and may also require smaller instrumentation blocks for best use of space. This system houses four Micro Analog 2 modules for eight channels of signal conditioning together with the optional Auto-Zero in a small but tough machined plastic chassis. The rear panel carries the same screw lock connectors as the other systems in the range. The output connector is a 15 way D type. Front panel indicators denote power “ON” (flashes when overloaded) and Auto Zero in progress.

This system may also be used with the USB interface by inserting the FE-356-USB interface module.

Applications

Load Cells, Pressure Transducers, Strain Gauges, DCLVDTs, Potentiometers, all forms of bridge type transducers and DC voltage signals, Accelerometers, Hydrophones, ICP® transducers and AC voltage signals, Thermocouples, Frequency Pickups. Mix and Match cards as required.

System Specification

Maximum 8 channel analogue instrumentation system in DC powered enclosure.

Up to 4 dual channel cards in any combination plus optional Auto-Zero card.

Input Power : < 10 V D.C. to > 36 V DC . (90 VAC to 250 VAC operation using a standard mains to DC adaptor).

Inputs 4 x 7 pin Tuchel. Output 15 way D socket. Adaptors available for both input and output connectors.

Dimensions 74(H) x 110(W) x 228(D) 0°C to 40°C, 0 to 80 % R.H. non condensing.

FE-MM8 Rear Panel with adaptors

4 Channels

Micro Analog 2 – FE-MM4

The FE-MM4 is a DC powered 4 channel version of its larger brother the FE-MM8. In common with all chassis styles in the Micro Analog 2 range, it accepts a range of dual channel signal conditioning modules which together cover almost every transducer type. The FE-MM4 has slots for up to 2 dual channel modules. The 400 kHz sampling rate USB data acquisition and the large sample buffer allows all 4 channels to be continuously sampled at 100 kHz each. Inputs are via the dual channel 7 pin rear panel connectors which can accept a variety of connector adaptors, and outputs are via the rear panel 9 way D connector which carries the outputs from the 4 signal conditioning channels.

The front panel is easilly removed to allow any of the Micro Analog 2 modules to be inserted into any position. Configuration and operation is simple, and the rear panel connector may be connected to BNC adaptors.

Applications

Load Cells, Pressure Transducers, Strain Gauges, DCLVDTs, Potentiometers, all forms of bridge type transducers and DC voltage signals, Accelerometers, Hydrophones, ICP transducers and AC voltage signals, Thermocouples, Frequency Pickups. Mix and Match cards as required.
